Athlete of the Month: August 2017

CHRIS CONTOS

Just under a year ago Chris came to CrossFit Logan looking for a new and different gym experience. As a former college athlete, he was hoping to find a gym with a strong sense of community where he could constantly push himself – and he has done just that! Growing up in Plymouth Michigan, Chris played hockey and football, he then went on to play college Lacrosse. Even when not in the gym, he is always staying active- he is an avid runner and loves to play (and watch) soccer. You can find Chris in the evening classes about 4-5 times per week!

WHAT CHRIS HAS TO SAY ABOUT CROSSFIT LOGAN:
The people… can’t beat the atmosphere and the people. My favorite WOD is pretty much anything I can RX, favorite lift is the clean and jerk. The Team WOD is my jam because I get to hang out with my friends, compete with my boo, everybody has fun and it’s chill. 

What are your favorite things about CrossFit Logan?
I enjoy the fun community of fitness enthusiasts pushing themselves towards PR’s and better health!

What’s your favorite music to workout to?
I like to workout to Classic Rock.

What are your fitness goals?
To run another marathon and to keep reaching new PR’s.

Do you have a favorite WOD?
I enjoy any of our WODs that involve rowing and running.

What PR are you proudest of?
My deadlift and clean.
